Anifex Superstition Exhibition
Anifex is Adelaide’s premier animation studio and in the course of creating their award-winning films and commercials has employed many a clever, talented individual - and a few clowns like me.
Some of those clever, talented individuals felt the brilliant works of Anifex could not fully display our greatness and an annual exhibition was required to convey it to the world. Galleries are organized, deadlines are set, and a theme is decided to vainly give the proceedings some coherency.
This year the theme is “Superstition” and the works of various painters, sculptors, animators, and all description of craftsy people that have worked under the Anifex umbrella will be on exhibit at eye2eye fine art gallery, Level 1, 260 Rundle Street, Adelaide from August 7th thru 29th.
It’s part of the SALA (South Australian Living Artists) festivities (why should the dead ones get all the glory?), so you gallery-goers are likely to be pretty busy, but this is right above AL FRESCO. Can’t make it any more convenient than that!
The “13 Black Cats” above is my more obvious contribution to the theme, but I’ve snuck in another, and there’s 24 other artists exhibiting their spilt salt and broken mirrors. Definitely worth checking out since you’ll already be there for a latte.
